Animal Crossing New Horizons has been given a second update in the space of a week.

Animal Crossing New Horizons update 2.0.1 is available to download, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

It’s especially good news for owners of the Happy Home Paradise DLC, because it makes one or two crucial fixes.

Nintendo explains more: “Animal Crossing New Horizons players who own the Happy Home Paradise DLC may experience gameplay bugs if they visit Resident Services and ask to remodel a resident’s home while the gates at their airport are open.

“We recommend players to not attempt to remodel an island resident’s home while the gates at their airport are open.

“As long as the airport gates are closed, you should not encounter these gameplay bugs when remodelling residents’ homes on your island.”

Nintendo previously recommended restarting the game if you experienced the problem, although update 2.0.1 means you no longer need to worry about it.

“A new Animal Crossing New Horizons software update (Ver2.0.1) that fixes the gameplay bugs mentioned above is now available. Thank you for your patience.”

With the Happy Home Paradise DLC installed, players will join Lottie’s Paradise Planning team, where you can choose jobs and design homes based on your client’s wishes.

“Pick the island you want to build on, then design everything to create a home that’ll make the client happy.

“Place furniture to suit the theme, decorate both inside and out, change the season, time of day and more. The more homes you create, the more clients you’ll find are looking for your services!”

Players will also be able to transform vacant buildings into hospitals, schools and other essential properties.

Animal Crossing’s DLC has a price tag of £22.49, although it can be yours for free if you subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.

The newly released subscription tier gives Nintendo Switch owners the ability to play games online with other people.

Elsewhere, subscribers can play NES, SNES, Sega Mega Drive and Nintendo 64 games on Switch. You’ll also receive the Animal Crossing DLC, although you need to own the base game.

A Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription costs £34.99 for 12 months of access.
