Prince Archie Harrison was “stripped of the chance” to be with his family as he stayed in California with Meghan Markle, a royal expert has told Express.co.uk.
Prince Harry travelled alone to the Coronation of King Charles, playing a background role throughout the ceremony.
However, the Duke made it home in time to tuck Archie into bed after a flying 28-hour visit to the UK. The young prince was celebrating his fourth birthday on the same day as the Coronation – Saturday, May 6.
Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich believes it’s a “pity” that Archie not with his cousins – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – and grandfather Charles on Saturday.

Harry’s memoir and the Sussexes’s Netflix docuseries, both released in the last six months, included high-profile criticism of the Firm.
Ms Fordwich adds that Meghan’s absence from the Coronation had the potential to help Harry build bridges with his family.
However, she says the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, are in a less forgiving mood than the King.
She said: “Meghan Markle’s absence at the Coronation was thought by many to perhaps have helped with some sort of reconciliation, mainly since the Prince and Princess of Wales are the ones actually awaiting some acknowledgment regarding the hurt Harry caused.
