Former BBC Breakfast presenter and I’m A Celebrity campmate Louise Minchin has been left in agony as she embarks on a huge bike ride across Argentina. Louise arrived earlier this week and will spend the best part of a month travelling the country with athlete Mimi Anderson.

Day three into the expedition and Louise told fans she is finding the challenge “very tough”.

Wearing a helmet, sunglasses and head-to-toe cycling gear, Louise shared a clip to her Instagram Stories detailing how difficult she was finding the cycle.

Still smiling, she told her 127,000 followers: “Day three of the cycling adventure. Mimi and I can’t even stand up.”

The camera then cut to Mimi, who holds multiple Guinness World Records for her endurance, and she exclaimed: “I can, I’m standing up. It’s because I haven’t sat down, and you’ve sat down.”

Louise then shook her head and said: “She never stops talking. Ever. It’s brilliant.”

In an update posted to Mimi’s Instagram, the athlete revealed some of the incredible sights the pair had seen on their journey so far.

She wrote: “Day 4 of the TransAndean. 193km so a long day in the saddle.

“Cycled through vineyards, saw loads of parrots and I believe an eagle!

Her friends and followers flocked to the comments to wish her the best of luck.

Fellow I’m a Celeb star Arlene Phillips said: “You are a powerhouse.”

Homes Under the Hammer host Lucy Alexander replied: “Go on Lou!”

And This Morning regular Dr Zoe Williams wished her “good luck”.

Louise made her final appearance on BBC Breakfast on September 15.

She explained on Her Spirit podcast in December that the early hours were a “killer” and everything was “out of balance”.

The 53-year-old added that the decision to quit was “scary”, but that she is “excited” for the future.
