Emmerdale’s Vinny Dingle (played by Bradley Johnson) will do something he might live to regret on the ITV soap. Vinny has been trying to prove his girlfriend Liv Flaherty’s (Isobel Steele) innocence for weeks after she was charged for the murder of Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon). In scenes yet to air, Vinny finds himself lying to Liv about a court hearing as he’s worried she’ll turn to drink again. How will she react when she learns the truth?

Liv has been locked up for the murder of Ben, however, it was serial killer Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) who actually took his life.

The only witness to Meena’s murder confession was her sister Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) who remains in a coma after a car accident.

In upcoming scenes, Manpreet wakes up, but Vinny’s hopes for Liv’s release from her cell are dashed.

A detective asks Manpreet to recount specific details Meena may have shared about Ben’s death.

But Vinny is distraught when the detective tells him due to lack of concrete evidence Liv isn’t going to be released.

Soon Manpreet’s shocked when Vinny visits her in hospital and asks her to lie to the police.

However, the following day Liv informs Vinny there’s news a court hearing has been requested due to some new evidence emerging.

When Liv asks Vinny to tell her brother Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) the good news, he agrees but is soon left worried.

However, when Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) tells them Aaron isn’t coming, Vinny starts to panic that his absence will trigger her drinking again.

As the day of the hearing arrives, Liv packs to go home from her prison cell and believes Aaron will be there.

Vinny continues to worry about breaking the news to Liv that Aaron won’t be coming to the hearing.

But he’s unable to burst her bubble and decides to tell her Aaron’s on his way.
