A Japanese man who spent £12,000 for a costume that makes him look like a dog has ventured out in the outfit for the first time.
The man, known only as Toco, has gone viral after living out his dream of becoming an animal.
Toco has over 30,000 fans on the video streaming platform YouTube where he has posted his latest content.
In a recent video, he has gone outside to demonstrate his dog costume which reportedly cost him two million Yen (£12,480).
In the footage, he can be seen walking around the house and out into the garden as a border collie.
Sharing the news online, he said: “This time, I finally get to fulfil a dream I’ve had since I was a little child: turning into a dog and going for a walk outside!”
Toco also spoke to the Mirror about his incredible transformation and his insecurities about his dream.
He said: “I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird. My friends and family seemed very surprised to learn I became an animal.”
Toco added: “Since childhood, I have had this unspecific fantasy of becoming an animal. I wonder whether it was a desire for transformation.”
In the past, Toco has compared his dream to like wanting to be a dog, wizard, or hero as he thought all three were impossible.
Following his successful transformation, his loyal fanbase has praised him for finally succeeding.
As well as celebrating his achievement, they have also poured on the reassurance that there is nothing wrong with what he’s doing.
One person wrote: “Don’t be nervous about people seeing you! You’re just a guy with a quirky hobby. There’s nothing wrong with that.”
Another wrote: “He thought you were just a super cute doggie with some trouble walking.
“We absolutely would’ve walked up to pet you and been none the wiser!!”
Toco added that he chose the collie because it was his favourite dog breed and that he purchased the costume from Zeppet, a Japanese company which builds models for the film industry.
