The King and Queen Camilla arrived in France on Wednesday as part of their three-day mini-tour.
The pair were quickly welcomed upon their arrival, via royal jet, by the French President, Emmanuel Macron and his wife, First Lady Brigitte Macron.
The King, who has a long-standing history with France, and Queen spent two days in Paris, before moving to spend their final day in Bordeaux.
With the Queen and the First Lady displaying a close bond during the visit, the King and President Macron also appeared to get along well – with some pictures capturing just how close the two of them are.
Here, Express.co.uk looks at 12 pictures that capture the King and President Marcon’s close friendship – including some from past meetings.
On September 20, at the state banquet at Versailles, the King shared a toast with the French President.
The visit, according to the Palace, took place to “celebrate the strong links between the UK and its neighbour”.
