It was reported over the weekend that Katy and Orlando were amongst the star-studded guestlist for Archie’s fourth birthday.
And since their no-show and Katy’s dazzling performance for His Majesty King Charles III, a clip has resurfaced of Katy discussing Meghan’s Givenchy haute couture wedding dress.
The interview clip, which was filmed during a red carpet show all the way back in May 2018, also shows the moment Katy praises Kate Middleton, The Princess of Wales, and her wedding get-up.
Seeming to throw shade, when a reporter asked what the American Idol judge thought of Meghan’s dress at the time, she said: “I would’ve done one more fitting. Kate won.”
Despite the comments on Meghan’s outfit, Katy did gush over the former working royal in another interview with ET at the time.
She said: “It’s amazing what she’s doing with all her humanitarian efforts.
“You know, the fact that she’s a proud feminist, I love all that. So, I support her as another woman and love her and wish [Markle and Prince Harry] well.”
Katy and Orlando have since become friends with Harry and Meghan after their move to the same neighbourhood in Los Angeles.
“Two days ago, Orlando Bloom sent me a message because he’s just down the road,” Harry told the Armchair Expert podcast in May 2021.
He explained: “And we sort of keep in contact because of the paparazzi.”
