Fans have been left concerned after Camilla, Queen Consort, appeared to be absent from three key events in the lead-up to the Coronation today. King Charles hosted a glamorous reception at Buckingham Palace on Friday evening, alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales, where they met with foreign royals and global leaders. Charles was seen chatting away with the First Lady of Ukraine, President Zelensky’s wife Olena Zelenska, whilst Kate was in deep conversation with Crown Princess Mary and US First Lady Jill Biden.
But Camilla was noticeably absent from the event, with Buckingham Palace insisting it was always the plan for Charles to host the event alone – reports MailOnline.
However, fans have been left concerned after the Queen Consort was also absent from two other key events.
Charles, Kate and Prince William spoke to those waiting outside The Mall on Friday, greeting well-wishers and waving to the crowds.
But while they were pictured smiling away, Camilla was absent from the walkabout outside Buckingham Palace.
Camilla, who will be crowned alongside the King today at Westminster Abbey, also appeared to be missing from a Realm Governors-General and Prime Minister’s lunch gathering on Friday.
Footage from the event shows Kate, Prince William, Princess Anne and Charles meeting guests at the event.
But Camilla appears to be missing, with no photos or footage showing the Queen Consort at the event.
It has sparked concern among some fans who have questioned where she could be.
One royal watcher, @Greenleaf256, shared concern on Twitter.
They said: “So Charles, Kate and Wills went out to greet the so-called peeps camping outside, but Camilla was missing in action. Why couldn’t she come out to greet? I thought they said she is now loved by the British public or?”
