Police dealing with a “major incident” in Nottingham have closed multiple roads across the city and told members of the public to use alternative routes. A large police presence has been reported across Nottingham as officers are dealing with an “ongoing serious incident”.
Emergency services are present in a number of areas including Ilkeston Road, Woodborough Road and Maples Street.
Alongside several police cars, ambulances and fire services were also spotted on the scene.
A statement from the police said: “There are multiple road closures in place throughout the city while the incident is being investigated.
“We are asking the public and motorists to please avoid the following areas and plan alternate routes.”
Police haven’t yet confirmed what the incident involves.
The Nottingham Express Transit (NET) tram network also said it has suspended all services due to “major police incidents around the city and suburbs”.
