The latest images of the Norwegian princess shared by Norway’s palace show her wearing a smart black trouser suit paired with a white blouse. Posing on cream-coloured sofa, the almost 18-year-old royal gives a beaming smile to her fans from her new office at the Royal Palace in Oslo.

The Norwegian royal court said in a press release: “In time, she will receive more official assignments for the Royal House, but the princess will concentrate on her education in the coming years.”

On social media, royal fans couldn’t stop praising the Princess.

One Instagram user, pia.slatlem.kongsten, wrote: “What a wonderful young lady! She radiates security, humility and drive. We are lucky here in Norway!”

Another, kaellanowoc, said: “She is beautiful.”

A third, anni.roc.haha, wrote: “What a beautiful young lady.

“Perfect blend of her mother and father. All the best wishes for Princess Alexandra.”

Born in 2004, she is currently studying at Elvebakken Upper Secondary School in Oslo.

The only daughter of Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Princess Mette-Marit, she is second in line to the throne following her father and grandfather, King Harald.

Ingrid has one younger brother, Prince Sverre Magnus, and an older half-brother on her mother’s side, Marius Borg Høiby.

The royal is set to visit the Norwegian Parliament on Friday.

A planned gala dinner and government event to mark Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s 18th birthday has been pushed back to a later date due to the pandemic.

The princess was educated alongside her half-brother at a local primary school in Oslo, with her parents hoping she would have as normal a life as possible.

It is only in recent years that she has started undertaking more official duties, including giving the Duchess of Cambridge a tour of a sculpture park named after her in 2018, when she was 15-years-old.

She is known for being a keen surfer (winning a gold medal in national championships in 2020) as well as a kickboxer and skier.

In 2018, the then 14-year-old royal met the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their tour of Sweden and Norway.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra joined Queen Sonja and her parents to show Prince William and Kate around a sculpture park named in her honour.

Meanwhile, other members of foreign royalty will also celebrate milestone birthdays with Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and Queen Letizia of Spain turning 50 this year.

While the Duchess of Cornwall, will turn 75 in July.
