Princess Kate's favourite dessert is the ultimate indulgent treat and a firm pub favourite

Princess Kate is known for leading a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet but even she’s not immune to the occasional sweet treat.

The Princess of Wales is said to opt for healthy, nutritious meals for her and her family but occasionally she and husband Prince William like to dine in their local pubs.

And the British classic sticky toffee pudding is the top choice for dessert she’d usually go for.

The princess’s favourite dessert was revealed a few years ago, after she ordered it at the Old Boot Inn in Berkshire, close to her parent’s home.

Chef Rody Warot, who previously worked there, told PEOPLE magazine at the time: “Kate is always discreet and has always complimented the dishes with great kindness…. for the [dessert], her favourite is sticky toffee pudding. It’s moist and spongy.”

And the royal couple also seem to be keen on the occasional takeaway, with Princess Kate’s favourite being curry.

But while Kate may love “curries and spice”, as she revealed on a trip earlier this year to Birmingham, the Prince of Wales prefers milder options.

He said: “I’m a masala man. Catherine can eat it [spicy food]. I start sweating.”

Princess Kate said her children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, also “absolutely” love Indian food.

Another takeaway that Prince William loves is Nando’s.

During an event, the Prince met the co-founder of the South African restaurant chain, Robert Brozin and said:

“This man here [his protection officer] is your biggest fan, he’s introduced me to Nandos. It’s very good. He should buy a stake in Nandos.”

Princess Kate and William are also known to enjoy fish and chips.
