A new Red Dead Online update is launching this week which will add the latest game expansion – Red Dead Redemption Online: Blood Money.
RDR2 has been slowly growing in content over the last few years, but gamers have been waiting a while for the upcoming Summer patch.
The good news is that the wait is almost over, and developers Rockstar Games are expected to follow up the new Red Dead Online update with patch notes.
These will be released after the patch has gone live; however, we don’t have an exact time. Here’s what we’re expecting from this week’s PS4, Xbox One and PC release:
WHAT TIME IS THE RED DEAD ONLINE BLOOD MONEY UPDATE COMING OUT?
Based on previous releases, this week’s Red Dead Online Blood Money update is expected to be released by 2pm BST on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
Rockstar Games doesn’t normally share an exact release time, so we’re not expecting any further updates on the subject.
We also don’t know how big an update this will be for RDR2, but we would expect it to be less than 10GB across PS4, Xbox One and PC.
That’s unless Rockstar is planning on making some background changes to the mode that they haven’t announced yet.
After this week’s Red Dead Redemption 2 update has been released, a collection of patch notes will be posted.
These should list everything that has changed in the game and list whatever bugs have been squashed since earlier this Summer.
More news is also expected to be shared regarding the new content is being released, including some deep dives on what to expect from the new activities.
Rockstar Games has announced that they will be experimenting more with its game pass, this time changing it into a series that will be available to purchase for 25 Gold Bar.
A message from the Red Dead Online team reveals: “The Quick Draw Club is a series of four distinct rapid-fire passes, arriving in consecutive instalments over the coming months.
“Purchasing each membership entitles you to rewards, bonuses, and items to help live life on the fringe of the law — starting with Dutch’s outfit, The Redcliff. With each consecutive pass you purchase, you’ll earn additional perks and rewards for continuing the journey.
“Each pass will cost 25 Gold Bars, all of which you’ll earn back by completing the Pass’ 25 Ranks. As an added bonus, players who purchase all four passes will receive the upcoming Halloween Pass 2 for free.”
Blood Money’s main draw will be offering Wild West fans the chance to make cash from new Crimes and Opportunities.
This will be achieved by pulling off heists, or as this is something for Red Dead Online – audacious robberies.
These jobs will be called Crimes and they will expand on what was found in the single-player experience.
Crimes will range from cloak-and-dagger coach holdups to multi-stage robberies — including kidnapping and debt collections.
These will lead to bigger jobs, with a message from Rockstar Games explaining: “Accumulating enough Capitale for Guido Martelli will reveal Opportunities. These are dispatched by Martelli in a scheme to stifle a rising Lemoyne senator who is disrupting Bronte operations throughout the region.
“Each Opportunity can reveal various approaches to the task at hand — listen into nearby conversations or look out for important targets to uncover new paths to completion and weaken this politician’s position by bringing each of the three Jewels of the West to Martelli.”
