An overlooked rescue dog is still waiting for a home to call her own after almost one year.
Twinkle, a two-year-old ex-racing greyhound, arrived at Battersea’s Old Windsor Centre in September 2022.
But nearly a year later she is still looking for a home and the charity has now launched a special appeal.
Twinkle, who is currently being fostered, is friendly with people and enjoys a fuss.
Hannah Gee, dog rehoming team leader at Battersea Old Windsor said: “Twinkle is a delightful dog who has a really fun and sparky personality.
“Her foster carers have really enjoyed having her at home and she has settled in well.
“Twinkle keeps them amused with her playful antics, she also loves water and will splash around and dance around in circles.
“She enjoys company so is looking for owners who are at home and can give her plenty of attention; she often lays in her bed and stretches a paw out to ask for a fuss.
“Twinkle has so much to bring to a new owner and we’d love to see her happy in her forever home soon.”
Twinkle is looking for a home in a quieter location with a private garden.
She could live with children over the age of 13 but would need to be the only dog.
Her ideal owner would have experience of having dogs with some understanding of greyhounds.
Greyhounds are often overlooked and spend more time than any other breeds at Battersea.
