Rylan Clark, 33, has defended himself against a Twitter user who slated his “mispronunciation” of words following his appearance on Friday night’s The One Show.
The presenter has been filling in on the BBC show since 2019 and has also taken up hosting duties on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.
However, one viewer, named Terry, took issue with Rylan’s presenting and hit out on Twitter.
He said: “Rylan on The One Show mispronouncing Ts again sounds awful.
“When oh when will the BBC revue their presenters to present professionaly.” (sic)

Carole penned: “Many presenters, announcers etc, are now chosen for their dialect/accents, no one needs elocution lessons to work for the BBC. Love it or hate it, you gotta change with times and don’t be so rude and disrespectful to people. I bet you have flaws as none of us are perfect you know.”
And Martin replied: “Breaking news Terry – there’s such a thing as a remote controller, you could try turning over rather than being unkind.”
Last night, Rylan hosted The One Show alongside Alex Jones after he took some time away from TV following his separation from husband, Dan Neal.
The couple met in 2014 and were married the next year.
The Big Brother winner announced their split back in June 2021.
Now, Rylan is said to be feeling much better and is reportedly ready to find love again.
A source told OK! Magazine: “He’s taking very slow steps [back into dating] but he definitely wants that happy ending still.
“He is getting some interest, he’s looking better than ever,” the insider gushed, making reference to Rylan’s noticeable body transformation.
