Princess Charlotte appeared to get impatient during Trooping the Colour this weekend after a lip-reading expert revealed what she asked her great aunt, the Duchess of Edinburgh. The young royal was spotted alongside her siblings, Prince George and Prince Louis and Sophie Wessex during the celebrations to mark the official birthday of King Charles. The group watched the service over Horse Guards Parade where Charlotte was seen chatting with Sophie.
Lip reader Jeremy Freeman told the Daily Star that at one point the young royal asked her great aunt: “Sophie how long will it be?”
The Duchess is said to have replied: “I think it’s now”.
Trooping the Colour was filled with over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians coming together in central London.
For the first time in 30 years, the monarch joined the parade on horseback, while Prince William, Prince Edward and Princess Anne also joined him in the saddle, dressed in full ceremonial uniform.
