Nicola Sturgeon has been spotted leaving her house as the SNP’s woes continue. The former Scottish First Minister looked pensive as she was pictured outside her Glasgow home this morning.
It comes amid a Police Scotland investigation into the SNP’s finances which has seen the arrest of two party figures.
Ms Sturgeon’s husband Peter Murrell was detained earlier this month and questioned by detectives for 11 hours before being released without charge “pending further investigation”.
Police investigating the party’s finances also arrested the then SNP treasurer Colin Beattie on Tuesday, who was later released without charge.
Ms Sturgeon’s appearance today comes as senior members of the SNP are braced for her “imminent” arrest now she is the only party official named on their most recent financial accounts who hasn’t been interviewed by the police.
Ms Sturgeon’s name appeared on the 2021-22 accounts, alongside her husband Peter Murrell and Colin Beattie, both of whom have been arrested and questioned.
