NewsTeenage boys killed in Cardiff e-bike crash 'died from head injuries'

An inquest into two Cardiff teenagers who died in an electric bike crash has heard their provisional cause of death were blunt injuries to the head and trunk.

Best friends Kyrees Sullivan, 16, and Harvey Evans, 15, died on May 22 in a collision in Snowden Road, Ely.

Riots spread throughout the Welsh capital after footage emerged on on social media of the boys being followed by a police van moments before their crash.

Pathologist Dr Stephen Leadbeatter found in a post-mortem that the provisional causes of death were blunt head injury for Kyrees and blunt injury to head and trunk for Harvey.

Coroner Patricia Morgan said an inquest was required because there was “reason to suspect the deaths were violent or unnatural in nature”.
