This is the moment a fisherman in the US escaped death after being attacked by a tiger shark while in his kayak.
Scott Haraguchi caught the moment on camera while he was fishing in Oahu, Hawaii.
The video shows the tiger shark shooting out from the sea and barging into the kayak, nearly causing Scott to capsize.
Recalling the terrifying moment, he told KTV: “I heard a whooshing sound that sounded like a boat heading towards me without the motor and I looked up and I saw this big brown thing my brain thought it was a turtle but then I got slammed by it and realized that it was a tiger shark.”

The surfer was hospitalised but survived the attack.
The US experienced the most shark attacks in 2022. Incredibly, 41 of the 57 attacks worldwide happened in the country last year.
Hawaii saw five shark attacks in 2022, including the death of a woman who went missing while snorkelling off Keawakapu Beach in Maui.
Florida had the most attacks overall with 16.
