William and Harry at centre of orchestrated Coronation strategy to keep them apart

NewsWilliam and Harry at centre of orchestrated Coronation strategy to keep them apart

Prince William and Prince Harry will have no time for “meaningful conversation” during the Coronation as their interactions will be kept to a minimum, a royal expert claimed.

Express.co.uk was told Palace aides were carefully orchestrating every moment of the ceremony to ensure the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex would not need to be together during the service.

And according to former royal butler Paul Burrell, Harry will be sat “ten rows back” compared to senior members of the Royal Family to keep the world cameras from focussing on their interactions.

Royal expert Nick Bullen claimed the Duke cannot avoid returning to the UK due to the importance of the moment for King Charles III, and will get no chance to strike up any proper conversation with William.

Bullen said: “I don’t think William and Harry will have any meaningful conversations.

“Harry’s made it pretty clear he intends to fly in and fly out and wants to be back that day for Archie’s birthday.

“So the opportunities for them to speak to each other will be very minimal. I don’t think Harry’s part of the procession.

“He’s unlikely to be on the balcony, so there’s going to be very little interaction. They’ll travel in different vehicles. So there are not many moments where they need to come together.”

The True Royalty founder said that despite the tensions between the Sussex household and the Royal Family, sources have claimed relatives are delighted to see Harry returning.

He told Fox News Digital: “He had to come. This is his father’s biggest moment. It’s what his father waited his whole life for.

“It would’ve been just rude not to turn up, let alone lacking in dignity and style… The Royal Family, the household, the nation – everyone is really pleased he’s coming.

“He had to be a part of it. It’s definitely better that Harry’s flying solo because it avoids any awkward moments with family members.”

Burrell claimed Harry himself is hoping to keep interactions with the family short despite his “eagerness” to attend the Coronation.

He said: “He doesn’t want to spend much time around them.

“There is no chance of a reconciliation anytime soon, I’m afraid. I think he will get a very icy reception from the Windsors.

“He will be sitting ten rows back. He will not even see his brother or his father at that time. He will be in and out in a flash.”

The Coronation falls on the same day as the fourth birthday of Harry’s son, and he has been tipped to keep his stay in the UK short in an effort to celebrate Prince Archie Harrison’s special day as well.

Commentator Emily Andrews said: “It’s a very brief, fleeting visit. He’s literally going to come to Westminster Abbey, going to walk to his seat, sit there and look dutiful, hopefully not glowering at everybody else.

“And then he’s going to go back to LA because, with the time difference, he hopes to apparently make it back in time for Archie’s birthday.”
